Ellen Ziffren , Partner
Ellen brings extensive entertainment, nonprofit and foundation expertise. She is currently producing STAND UP 2 CANCER, an unprecedented cross-television network cancer awareness and fundraising event with Sherry Lansing, the Entertainment Industry Foundation and executive producer Laura Ziskin. Ellen also works on communications strategies and marketing campaigns for social entrepreneurs funded by the Skoll Foundation.
Prior to her current work, Ellen was an Executive Director for nonprofit organizations and Foundations, including co-founding the I Am Your Child Foundation with Director Rob Reiner. There she managed fundraising, corporate and political partnerships and relationships with other partner nonprofit organizations while also overseeing multi-lingual product development and dissemination. She forged educational platforms with celebrities and national media partners, including working with Newsweek on an early childhood issue, their best-selling special issue ever. Other projects included securing funding for and overseeing development of a comprehensive parenting curriculum for youths incarcerated in the California Youth Authority prisons.
She previously oversaw PR and political and community relations as Vice President of Corporate Communications at International Creative Management in Beverly Hills and served as West Coast A&R Director at Columbia Records in San Francisco and Los Angeles, supervising promotional and recording activities of signed acts while also searching for new talent.
Ellen is a Fulfillment Fund Mentor as well as a Parenting Coach for Homeboy Industries, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization which helps young people formerly involved in gangs become productive members of their communities. |
